An injection-molded plastic kit of the American armored scout car M3A1 White Scout Car in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model has a detailed hull with an open fighting compartment, a well worked-out interior and clear parts; depending on how the package is equipped, photo-etched parts are usually included as well. It is an unassembled and unpainted kit to be glued.
The M3A1 Scout Car was an American wheeled armored scout and liaison vehicle. It got the White name from its maker, the White Motor Company. It was built from the beginning of the 1940s in large numbers and served with Allied armies for reconnaissance, for carrying a crew and as a lightly armored personnel carrier. It carried machine gun armament on a skate rail above the hull.
Paint the interior and the fighting compartment before you finish the model, because they stay visible. Apply the base coat with an airbrush, bring out the detail with washes and add dust and mud pigments to the running gear and the tires. Before gluing, clean the flash and the sprue gate remnants off the parts and dry-fit the individual sections first; glue with thin cement for plastic, which joins the seam firmly and cleanly. For better paint adhesion lay down a primer first and paint in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush. Before weathering, even the surface out with a clear coat and let each layer dry thoroughly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
