A large plastic kit of the British Vosper motor torpedo boat (MTB) from Italeri. In 1:35 scale the result is an impressive model with a richly detailed deck and armament. The box usually holds injection-molded plastic parts, photo-etched parts, rigging line and decals; check the exact equipment of the particular release and any figures on the box.
During the Second World War the Vosper company became famous for building small, fast motor torpedo boats (MTBs) for the Royal Navy. The Vosper class boats, some twenty-two meters long, were driven by three engines and reached a speed of around 40 knots. They carried torpedo tubes, depth charges and machine guns and operated above all in the North Sea and the English Channel.
Build the model in sections: the hull, the deck, the superstructure and the armament. Use liquid cement for plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Pick out the wooden deck with glazes and a wash, and the metal parts with a dry brush. We recommend a primer base and spraying with an airbrush; the rigging line and the railings add to the realism of the boat. The model can be displayed on a base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
