Windhund No. 1 (1:35, Star Decals)

A sheet of water-slide decals in 1:35 scale devoted to the varied range of vehicles of the German 116th Panzer Division with the nickname Windhund, meaning greyhound. This is not a kit but an accessory for marking models.

The real subject and the markings

The set covers a wide range of hardware: the PzKpfw IV Ausf J tank, the SdKfz 234/1 armored car, the BMW R75 motorcycle, the SdKfz 250/9 and SdKfz 251/1 D half-tracks and the Jagdpanzer IV L/48 tank destroyer. It holds tactical numbers, divisional and unit signs and other lettering from the fighting of the late phase of the Second World War.

Use

• Apply them onto a smooth gloss varnish as prevention against silvering.
• Cut the design out right to the edge, dip it in lukewarm water and slide it onto the model.
• Adjust the position, draw the water off and pull the decal into the texture with a softener.
• Fix it with a matte or satin varnish.

Who the set is for

• Builders of German armor of the Second World War in 1:35 scale.
• Modelers who want to mark several different vehicles of one division.

The set holds only decals. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
