A photo-etched set of grilles for the Marder III (Sd.Kfz.139) tank destroyer in 1:35 scale from Voyager Model. The brass etch replaces the plastic cooling grilles. Intended for the Tamiya 35248 kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched brass detail set intended to refine the engine compartment of the plastic kit of the German Marder III (Sd.Kfz.139) tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory that replaces the molded plastic grilles with a fine etched screen. The target kit is the Tamiya 35248.
The Marder III in the Sd.Kfz.139 version was a German tank destroyer built on the Panzer 38(t) chassis and fitted with a captured Soviet 76.2 mm gun. It was deployed from 1942 as a mobile anti-tank weapon. The open layout and the exposed engine compartment make etched grilles a sensible improvement.
Separate the parts carefully with a sharp knife or etch scissors and form the bends with a bending tool. Bond them with super glue, degrease the metal surfaces before painting and treat them with primer for metal. Paint the fine screen with an airbrush.
An accessory for advanced modelers; the plastic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
