A photo-etched set of engine deck grilles for the Tiger I in 1:35 scale from Voyager Model. The brass etch replaces the plastic cooling grilles from the Zvezda kit with faithful see-through mesh.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched brass detail set intended to refine the engine compartment of the plastic kit of the Tiger I heavy tank from Zvezda in 1:35 scale. It is not a stand-alone model but an accessory that swaps the molded plastic grilles for a fine etched screen that really is see-through.
The Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War, famous for its heavy armor and its 88 mm gun. It was deployed from 1942 on all the main fronts. The characteristic grilles above the radiators at the rear of the hull are a prominent visual feature, and an etched replacement raises the realism there considerably.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife or etch scissors and form the bends with a bending tool. Bond them with super glue, degrease the metal surfaces before spraying and treat them with primer for metal. The fine mesh is best painted with an airbrush.
An accessory for advanced modelers; the plastic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
