A photo-etched brass detail set for refining the engine compartment of the plastic kit of the American M3 Stuart light tank in 1:35 scale. The set is not a stand-alone model; it replaces the molded plastic grilles with fine etched parts that are genuinely see-through. The manufacturer prepared it for the Tamiya 36360 kit.
The M3 Stuart was an American light tank of the Second World War, armed with a 37 mm gun. It served with the Allied armies on many battlefields and was popular thanks to its speed and reliability. The cooling grilles above the engine at the rear are a rewarding place for etched refinement.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife or etch scissors and form the bends with a photo-etch bending tool. Use super glue for bonding, degrease the metal before painting and treat it with primer. An airbrush gives an even coat on the fine mesh.
An accessory for advanced modelers; the basic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
