Voyager Model 1:35 US M8/M20 side skirts and stowage bins is a photo-etched detail set for faithfully completing models of the American M8 Greyhound and M20 armored cars. The set is designed for the Tamiya 35228 and 35234 kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of etched brass parts in 1:35 scale from Voyager Model. It is not a stand-alone vehicle model but an accessory meant to replace thick plastic parts with thin, precisely shaped ones. The set holds the side armor skirts (fenders) and the stowage bins for models of the M8 and M20 armored cars. Both the side skirts and the bins are based on the parts of the Tamiya 35228 and 35234 kits.
The M8 Greyhound was an American six-wheeled armored reconnaissance car deployed from 1943, armed with a 37 mm gun in the turret and a machine gun. The M20 version was its command and transport counterpart without a turret, with an open compartment and a heavy machine gun on a ring mount. Both vehicles served with Allied units during the Second World War and after it.
Separate the parts from the fret carefully with a sharp knife and form the bends on a photo-etch bending tool. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or two-part epoxy, and experienced modelers can also solder them. Before spraying, degrease the brass and apply a primer for metal surfaces.
The detail set does not hold the vehicle model itself, the paints or the glue. Intended for more advanced modelers.
