A set of small shipboard models, Trumpeter AV-8B Harrier (1:350) — the American vertical takeoff attack aircraft for ship dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded set from Trumpeter contains six small models of the American AV-8B Harrier vertical takeoff attack aircraft in 1:350 scale. It is not a large stand-alone model but an accessory meant to populate the decks of amphibious assault and helicopter ship models. The box contains several pieces; the parts are simple, including the clear glazing.
The AV-8B Harrier is an American shipboard jet attack aircraft with vertical or short takeoff and landing (V/STOL), operated by the Marine Corps from helicopter and amphibious assault ships. Thanks to its vectored thrust it can take off from and land on a short deck.
Given the size of the parts, work with tweezers and a sharp knife and glue the small joints with super glue. Apply a thin primer before painting, spray with an airbrush and mask the clear glazing. It works well to paint the aircraft away from the ship model and fit them at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
