Cutty Sark is a British tea clipper launched in 1869, one of the fastest sailing ships of her day. She carried tea from China and later wool from Australia to Britain, and in the era when sailing ships competed with the first steamers she was among the legends of long-distance sea travel. Today she is preserved as a museum ship and is one of the last surviving clippers in the world.
With a sailing ship, finish and paint the hull and the decks first, and only then build the masts and the yards. Tension the rigging patiently and symmetrically - use the thread enclosed or modeling thread and tweezers; secure the knots with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue. Bring out the wooden surfaces with glazes and a wash in the grooves. If you use the sails, tone them toward cream so that they do not look flat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
