Turned metal barrels for the Italian battleship RN Roma (1:350) from the Polish manufacturer Aber. It is not a model but a set of precise brass barrels that replace the plastic castings of the guns and lift the realism of the ship.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of turned brass barrels for building the Italian battleship RN Roma in 1:350 scale. It is not a kit of the ship but a metal detail accessory for models of the Littorio class battleship (Roma). The set contains the barrels of the 381 mm main guns, the 152 mm secondary guns and the 90 mm anti-aircraft guns, which are fitted in place of the plastic parts from the box.
Turned barrels have a perfectly circular section, crisply drilled muzzles and faithful proportions that plastic castings cannot reach. The battleship Roma was completed in 1942 as one of the units of the Littorio class of the Regia Marina, and her silhouette stands or falls precisely on the gun turrets and the barrels.
Cut the plastic barrels off and clean up the openings in the turrets. Glue the brass barrels with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Treat the metal with a primer before painting so that the paint holds well. Working with tweezers and good lighting is recommended.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The ship itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
