A set of three-dimensional colored decals from Quinta Studio for detailing the cockpit of a model of the attack aircraft A-10A Thunderbolt II (nicknamed the Warthog) in 1:48 scale. These are raised parts printed on a decal backing paper that are transferred with water like classic decals, not photo-etched parts or resin. It is based on the dimensions of the GWH kit.
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American single-seat attack aircraft meant for close support of ground units and for destroying armored vehicles, armed with the massive GAU-8 rotary cannon. The A-10A version has a classic analog cockpit with a mass of instruments and controls, which makes it a rewarding target for superdetailing.
First coat the cockpit with a gloss varnish (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22); the parts have no adhesive of their own and will not stay on a matte base. Cut the elements out, soak them for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide them off the paper onto the instrument panel and the side walls; in the relief a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener, it attacks the printed resin. The print imitates the instruments, the switches and the belts, so work with sharp tweezers.
The set contains only the interior decals. The base GWH kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
