A set of accurately cast resin AIM-120C-7 AMRAAM missiles (4 pcs) from the brand Reskit in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic missiles from a boxed kit with a more faithful copy with sharp edges and fine surface detail.
The AIM-120 AMRAAM is an American medium-range missile with active radar guidance. The C-7 version is a newer one: it has smaller clipped control surfaces, longer range and better resistance to jamming. It is carried by the F-15, the F-16, the F/A-18 and the F-22.
This is a resin (3D printed) set for experienced modelers. First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and sand the faces down; protect your airways while sanding resin. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, not with ordinary cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting; the missiles are sprayed with an airbrush and completed with color markings according to the particular service use.
The set is supplied as unpainted resin parts. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
