The equipment of the pilot's compartment of the Italian and Brazilian attack aircraft, supplied as printed patches with raised relief. The cutting matches the plastic parts of the HobbyBoss kit and 1:48 scale.

The subsonic attack aircraft came out of a joint program of Italian and Brazilian companies and first flew in 1984. The design deliberately put simplicity and low running costs before speed, so the machine got a single jet engine without an afterburner and a robust landing gear for operating from less prepared surfaces. In Italian colors it served mainly for the direct support of ground forces, while the Brazilian machines also carried reconnaissance equipment.
A flat print lays the color down but creates no shadow. The instrument panel then looks like a photograph stuck on, and at an oblique angle the sheen gives it away. A printed layer a few hundredths of a millimeter high behaves differently: every bezel has an edge of its own, so a darker line gathers under it and the brain supplies the depth. In 1:48 scale, where a dial is less than a millimeter across, that difference is the only thing separating a legible instrument from a colored dot.
The left console carries the throttle and the essential controls, the right one mostly system switches. Both surfaces are narrower than 5 mm on the model and slope downward, so they are hard to look at even under a magnifier. It proves best to lay them before the front panel, while they do not block the view, and to press them down with the tip pointing along the slope of the surface, not perpendicular to it. An air bubble holds stubbornly in a sloping wall and only a prick with the thinnest needle removes it.
