The F-16 is a single-engined light fighter with one seat, a teardrop canopy without a windscreen frame and a reclined seat back. Thanks to the shape of the canopy a large part of the cockpit is visible, so on a model it pays to give the interior more attention than on aircraft with a framed canopy. The seat has a reclined back and the control stick is placed at the right side of the cockpit, which is immediately apparent on a model built with the canopy open.

The instruments, the labels and the divisions of the panels are in color straight from production, and the relief of the print gives the instrument panel and the side panels a depth that the flat decal from the box does not have. The set is focused on the cockpit, so it comes into its own above all on a model built with the canopy slid back.
Elements of the QD line are applied by the wet method. Cut the part from the sheet, put it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place. The elements have no adhesive layer of their own, so spray the surface underneath and go over it with a gloss coat, for example Future or Tamiya X-22. Bring the part into place and press it down with a soft tool so that it follows the shape of the panel; on a broken surface a small drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as the chemistry would attack the printed resin.
The set is meant for builders who want a cockpit finished quickly and yet in detail. Because the name does not state the version, check in the instructions from the manufacturer which kit and which variant of the F-16 the elements are cut for before buying. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
