This set is NOT an aircraft model but a 3D-printed resin accessory for advanced modelers. It replaces the plastic exhaust nozzles of the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet model with faithfully detailed parts of the type 2 variant, with realistic structure of the inner petals and the combustion chamber. The target kit is the one from Hasegawa.
The Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is an American carrier multi-role aircraft powered by a pair of General Electric F414 engines. The appearance of the exhaust nozzles on the Super Hornet differs according to the mode and state of the engine, which is why accessory makers offer different types to capture a particular situation precisely.
Wash the uncured print resin residue off the parts, cut away the print supports and clean them up with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate. The metallic shades and heat staining of the nozzles are brought out with burnt metal shades and a fine wash.
The set is an accessory, not a standalone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the basic model and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
