The Red Fox Studio set is a fully pre-colored three-dimensional (3D) instrument panel and cockpit detail in thin acrylic. It is neither a kit nor a waterslide decal, but a finished surface detail glued straight onto the plastic interior. The set is shaped for a particular kit of the single-seat E version in 1:48 scale and faithfully reproduces the displays of the glass cockpit with an imitation of the reflection in the glass.
The Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet is a single-seat carrier multirole fighter and attack aircraft of the US Navy. Compared with the original Hornet it has a larger airframe, longer range and more modern avionics with large-area displays. It is one of the backbones of the present-day carrier air wing.
The parts are separated from the carrier frame and glued onto the interior, best with super glue (cyanoacrylate); PVA glue is possible too. The surface takes a fine wash and knocking back with an acrylic clear coat. Before gluing, it is worth checking the fit dry; every set is made for a particular kit, so use it on the model it is intended for.
This is an interior detail accessory, not a complete model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
