SPACE is a line from the Czech manufacturer Eduard that brings together color 3D interior decals on decal paper with steel photo-etched parts. The set is intended for A-10C Thunderbolt II models in 1:48 scale. The 3D decals reproduce the modern instrument panel with its displays and the side consoles convincingly, with modeled relief and finished printing, while the steel photo-etch adds mainly the pre-painted harness belts of the seat.
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American attack aircraft intended for close support of ground units and for destroying armored vehicles. The A-10C version brought an updated digital cockpit.
The 3D decals are not immersed in water: moisten the carrier paper underneath them, lift the element off with tweezers and glue it with white PVA glue onto a cleaned and varnished interior. Leave out the decal softener, as it would damage the printed resin. The steel photo-etched belts are separated from the fret, formed and bonded with super glue. A modern cockpit with displays therefore gains a convincing look without demanding painting.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit; the model itself and the paints are not included in the package.
