An injection-molded plastic kit of the French carrier-borne fighter Dassault Rafale M in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. It is the naval variant for operating from aircraft carriers (not to be confused with the land-based Rafale C). The kit has a detailed cockpit, pylons and the items tied to carrier operations; for the exact contents of the box, go by the enclosed instructions. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Dassault Rafale M is the carrier version of the modern French multirole fighter with a delta wing and canard foreplanes. Compared with the land-based C version it has a strengthened nose landing gear, a tailhook for catching the arresting wire and further changes for taking off from and landing on an aircraft carrier. It serves with French naval aviation on fighter, attack and reconnaissance tasks.
Finish and paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before you close the fuselage. Pay attention to the sturdier nose landing gear and the tailhook, which set the naval version apart. Mask the large cockpit glazing and spray the framing separately. Spray the base over primer; for gray naval schemes fine shading of the panels works well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
