Eduard 1:48 Hurricane camouflage scheme A masks is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set in kabuki tape for spraying the camouflage pattern on the upper surfaces of a model of the British fighter. It is not a model but an accessory for clean painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains precisely cut self-adhesive masks in fine Japanese kabuki tape for a model of the Hawker Hurricane fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit or a finished model but an accessory that makes spraying the two-color camouflage on the upper surfaces of the airframe easier and more accurate.
Unlike the usual masks for glazing, this set marks out the dividing lines of the type A camouflage pattern on the upper surfaces of the wings and the fuselage. Once applied, the masks give clean, repeatable transitions between the two shades without laboriously tracing the pattern freehand. The tape holds tight, follows the surface well and leaves no adhesive when peeled off.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter of the Second World War that, together with the Spitfire, formed the backbone of the defense during the Battle of Britain. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, and its rugged structure of a tube frame covered in fabric and metal proved itself in combat. The upper surfaces carried standardized disruptive schemes in the type A and type B variants.
The set contains only the cut-out masking parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
