Reskit 1:48 Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II, pilot in a seated position for a late modification ejection seat, type 2 is a resin figure for the cockpit of a model in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure of a pilot in 1:48 scale in a seated position, prepared for an ejection seat of a later production modification. The version is designated type 2, which is how Reskit tells the individual poses of seated pilots apart. An occupied cockpit is essential on modern fighters; the cockpit of an F-35 is roomy and an empty seat in it stands out more than on older types.
The Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II is a single-seat, single-engined fifth generation combat aircraft in the conventional takeoff and landing version. It is the most widespread version of the F-35 family and serves with the US Air Force and with a number of other users. It is marked by a reduced radar signature, internal weapons bays and extensive sensor equipment, which is brought to the pilot by a helmet with an integrated display. The seat of the aircraft went through modifications during production, which is reflected in the range of accessories for modelers as well.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting block away with a saw and level the mating surface. Before gluing, dry-fit the figure in the particular cockpit; resin figures are commonly adjusted by sanding the lower part, which will be hidden anyway. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint over a thin primer; modern flying gear is restrained in color, so the shading and a fine wash in the folds decide the result. Tune the visor of the helmet with a gloss varnish at the end and bring the straps out in a different tone from the suit so they do not get lost in the cockpit.
