This set is NOT a model of the aircraft but a 3D-printed accessory for a plastic kit of the LTV A-7D Corsair II attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. It replaces the original intakes (air inlets) and the wheel bays with faithful 3D-printed parts; the set also includes the landing gear and the wheels. It is meant for experienced modelers.
The large frontal intake and the open wheel bays are very much on show on the Corsair II, and in plastic they tend to be shallow and without detail. Precise 3D printing adds depth to the intake duct, structure to the walls of the bays and fine plumbing, so these areas gain a realistic look without laborious scratching and adding.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut off the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Paint the bays and the intakes before you close the fuselage; they are harder to reach afterward.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
