A detailed add-on set from Mini Craft Collection intended to improve the cockpit of the British Westland Lysander Mk.I/III. It is not a stand-alone model of an aircraft, but an upgrade, a detail set that replaces and sharpens the cockpit in the injection-molded plastic Westland Lysander kit from Airfix in 1:48 scale. The parts are made by 3D printing from resin, and the set is therefore meant for more experienced modelers.

What the set contains

• A new cockpit tub with fine detail of the structure.
• The pilot seat with printed belts, the control column and the instrument panel with a backing for the dials.
• The navigation table and other interior fittings of the cockpit.
• Additional armament parts (Vickers K machine guns with magazines) and clear film for the gauges.

Building and usage tips

First wash the parts free of any uncured resin residue and carefully cut the fine supports off with a modeling blade (not with nippers). Bond the resin and 3D-printed parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection while sanding. The set is fitted into the plastic Lysander kit from Airfix, so check how it seats in the fuselage before you glue it in.
