1:48 Modern NATO Airfield Type 8 380x320mm

Modern NATO Airfield Type 8 base, 380x320 mm (1:48, Red Fox Studio)

A decorative base for a finished model in 1:48 scale from Red Fox Studio. It is a firm board with a realistic color print of the surface of a modern NATO airfield — concrete runway slabs with period markings and a worn texture. The 380x320 mm size gives enough room for an aircraft model and a small scene around it. It is not a kit but a ready display base on which you place your model.

How to use the base

• It serves as an effective display surface for a finished, painted aircraft or vehicle model
• The surface resists UV light and paint, so it can be toned further and weathered with washes and pigments
• The board can be cut down to a smaller size to suit a display case
• It also suits as a base for a simple diorama with vehicles on an airfield apron

Who it is for

For modelers and collectors in 1:48 scale who want to present their model on a faithful airfield surface instead of a bare shelf. Builders of modern jets will appreciate it above all.
