In this set Reskit offers standing pilots for OV-10A Bronco models in 1:48 scale. It brings a calm moment into the scene, before takeoff or after landing, when the crew stands by the aircraft and talks to the ground crew. The model itself and its accessories are not included.
The US Air Force, the Navy and the Marine Corps all bought the OV-10A for jobs where jets were simply too fast. The Bronco directed fire, watched roads and rivers and could work from short, unpaved strips. A good view from the cockpit was crucial for that work and it shaped the whole front end of the fuselage. Crews flew in a flight suit with a harness and a flight helmet, which they commonly carried in their hand after landing.
With a pair of figures a small difference helps: a different shade of flight suit or differently worn boots keeps them from looking like two identical castings. Paint the harness lighter than the suit so the straps do not disappear. Put a dark wash into the folds at the waist and the knees and let it flow in. Leave the helmet glossier than the rest of the figure. Finally unify the whole figure with a matte coat so the transitions between the layers of fabric do not stand out.
The figures are supplied unpainted and without a display base.
