Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Swiss Pilatus PC-9 turboprop trainer in the A/M version in 1:48 scale. The kit is made by the Czech brand Kovozavody Prostejov (KP). It is a model to be assembled and painted; the exact contents of the package and the number of decal options are given in the instructions for the particular edition.
The Pilatus PC-9 is a single-engined turboprop trainer of Swiss manufacture derived from the earlier PC-7 type. It has the seats of the instructor and the student arranged in tandem under a glazed canopy and is used for basic and advanced flying training, aerobatic instruction included. The PC-9A version was delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force among others, and the modernized PC-9M is a later form with revised avionics. The type also served as the basis for an American trainer built on its concept.
With short-run kits we recommend cleaning the flash and sprue gates off the parts carefully and dry-fitting them before gluing. Use thin cement for plastic, and fill and sand the seams as needed. It pays to work up the cockpit and the instrument panels, because they are clearly visible through the large glazing. Apply a primer before painting; lay bold camouflage and eye-catching training finishes on with an airbrush and masking tape. Glue the clear parts with a cement that does not fog.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
