A female Rafale pilot standing, 1:48 scale, the type 2 form brings a female figure into the scene by a model. The name gives one piece.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure captures a woman in flight gear in an upright stance, in the form designated as type 2. It is the counterpart of the male variant from the same range, so both figures can be placed side by side to create a pair without the same gesture being repeated.
Display cases with modern aircraft tend to be populated exclusively by men, because for a long time nothing else was available. A female figure breaks that stereotype and a scene at once reads as more current. With French machines it moreover matches the real make-up of the flying personnel of the last two decades, so it is not artistic license but a faithful record of today.
In both single-seat forms the Rafale is marked by a combination of a delta wing with canards ahead of it, two engines and a richly glazed cockpit. The naval M differs from the land-based C mainly in the structure of the landing gear and in equipment for landing on a deck. The figure suits both, because the gear does not change between them.
