Royal Model 1:48 Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen is a resin figure of the most famous fighter ace of the First World War, for display cases and dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A collector's polyurethane resin figure in 1:48 scale from the Italian brand Royal Model portraying Manfred von Richthofen, the legendary Red Baron. The smaller scale makes it an ideal companion to models of First World War aircraft in the same scale. The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Rittmeister Manfred von Richthofen was the most successful fighter pilot of the First World War, with eighty confirmed victories. He led the fighter unit nicknamed the Flying Circus and became famous for his brightly red-painted aircraft, among them the Fokker Dr.I triplane. He was killed in April 1918. Placed next to an aircraft model, the figure gives the scene both a sense of scale and a period story.
Wash the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mold seams. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; in 1:48 scale we recommend an airbrushed base coat and a finish with a fine brush, with emphasis on the face and on the leather parts of the flying kit.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
