A figure of a standing woman in 1:48 scale from Quinta Models, meant to stand beside a model of the Su-31 aerobatic aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A standing female figure in 1:48 scale, named Svetlana. According to the name the manufacturer intends her to stand beside a model of the Su-31 aerobatic aircraft, but she will serve in any scene in the same scale. In this scale an adult figure comes out at about 3.5 cm.
A figure gives a model its scale. Only next to a human figure does it become clear how large or small the machine really is, and the scene stops looking like an object on its own in a display case. On an aerobatic special, which is small in itself, that goes double. The figure also sets where the eye goes: where she stands, the gaze gathers. It is therefore worth trying out in advance where she will stand and looking for a position that complements the machine rather than hiding it.
If you paint the figure yourself, start with a thin coat of primer, on which the further shades will hold. Thin the paint and apply it in several thin coats, or the fine features of the face and the folds of the clothing will be lost. Bring the recesses out with a darker glaze and lighten the raised areas gently. A matte clear coat at the end helps to unify the sheen. Choose the glue for attaching her according to the material of the figure; on parts that are not polystyrene, ordinary cement for plastic models does not hold and super glue is called for. Wash and degrease her before painting, or the paint will adhere poorly.
A figure in 1:48 scale is supplied. Paints, glue and a base are not included, unless stated otherwise.
