The standing 1:48 Waffen SS Grenadier with rifle - WWII is a casting of a German soldier in winter dress for 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Waffen SS soldier standing with a rifle and with one hand on his hip is cast in polyurethane resin. 1:48 scale is used for aircraft models and for some military hardware, and that is exactly where the figure finds its use: it gives a scene the human dimension that the machine alone lacks. The figure is cast by the Italian brand Royal Model.
The figure wears winter layering, that is heavier underclothing completed with a camouflage outer piece and knitted gloves. This is what the improvisation of German units looked like in the cold months of the Eastern Front, where suitable equipment was lacking. The bolt-action repeating rifle the soldier is holding went with the infantry from the beginning to the end of the war. An optional solution for the headgear is part of the box.
First wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water so that it is rid of the remains of mold release agent. Cut the gates off with a saw, never break them, and sand the cut surfaces with your airways protected. You will join the parts with cyanoacrylate. Then comes a thin coat of primer and only on that the shades; the face is painted last, because it decides the impression the whole figure makes.
A base, groundwork and paints are not enclosed with the figure.
