A set of plastic figures of pilots and ground personnel of the Luftwaffe in winter uniform from the Second World War in 1:48 scale from ICM. It is not an aircraft model but a set of figures that will bring an airfield, a diorama or a display case with an aircraft model of the same scale to life. The package holds five figures and several extra items for finishing off a scene; take the exact poses from the contents of the package. The figures have to be assembled and painted.
The set captures everyday life at a Luftwaffe field airfield in winter: among the figures are aircrew as well as ground staff, that is technicians and a sentry. Small props from the base facilities are usually included too, which help set the aircraft into a setting and a story.
Clean the parts up and glue them with thin cement for plastic. Choose a fine brush and acrylic paints for figures, a dark wash in the folds of the winter coats and a dry brush on the raised areas. Paint the extra props separately and add light weathering.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
