The dark green form of the Bugatti EB110 GT in the collector's scale of 1:64. The wedge-shaped supercar from Campogalliano with scissor doors and wheel covers, cast in metal and ready to go straight into a display case.

A dark green is among the colors that suit a wedge-shaped body of the early 1990s best. Unlike the garish paints of the time it lets the shape come out: the long nose, the broken line of the flank and the characteristic covers over the rear wheels. In miniature the car looks compact, and seen from the side it becomes almost a piece of sculpture.
The EB110 was styled in its final phase by Giampaolo Benedini, and the car was given scissor doors opening upward, a small horseshoe grille recalling the brand's prewar cars and the famous recessed lights. The body stands on a carbon frame, which at the time was an absolute novelty in series production.
The model comes finished. The body is metal, small things such as the grilles, the mirrors and the lights are plastic, the glazing is set in and the wheels carry rubber tires. The color is applied directly onto the metal, so it has a smooth and full look without graininess. The interior is done as a separate part, so the shape of the dashboard and the seats can be made out through the windshield. The baseplate carries the basic shaping of the chassis and at the same time holds the whole structure together.
Miniatures in this scale share one practical advantage: they take up little room and can be lined up in long series by brand or by decade. The green EB110 fits in among Italian supercars of the 1990s and is a suitable starting piece for somebody who is only beginning to collect.
