Flyhawk 1:700 photo-etched mesh (0.5 mm spacing)

This is a photo-etched brass sheet with a regular net grid of roughly 0.5 mm spacing. It is neither a model nor a finished part for a particular ship, but a general-purpose material for refining details on models of warships in 1:700 scale.

Use

  • A replacement for coarse plastic nets, camouflage and cargo nets, protective grilles and barriers.
  • The flexible photo-etched grid can be shaped over edges and cylindrical surfaces.
  • It is cut to measure with sharp scissors or a photo-etch knife.
  • It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) onto a degreased surface.

Who it is for

For advanced ship modelers who want to replace thick plastic parts with fine metal detail. The 0.5 mm spacing is a medium mesh size.

Photo-etched parts have sharp edges; protect your eyes and hands when cutting and sanding. The material is supplied on its own, without glue or paints.
