A finished collector model in 1:72 scale in the guise of the equipment of the 70th Tank Battalion from the time of the Korean War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a collector model in 1:72 scale that is supplied assembled and painted at the factory, markings included. It is not a kit, so nothing is glued, sprayed or added. It is enough to unpack the model and stand it up. It is worked up in the guise of the equipment of the 70th Tank Battalion from the time of the Korean War.
The 70th Tank Battalion was an American unit deployed in the Korean War, that is, in the conflict of 1950 to 1953. The nickname Soixante-Dix that the battalion carried comes from the French term for the number seventy. American tank battalions worked in Korea mainly as direct infantry support. The broken mountain country, the narrow roads and the muddy valleys limited the movement of armor so much that large tank clashes were rather the exception, and the main work remained fire against fortified positions and the escort of infantry attacks.
For the collector whose display case is missing the Korean War. The period between the Second World War and Vietnam tends to be represented in collections considerably less, and yet it was in Korea that equipment from the end of the Second World War met the first postwar types. The 1:72 scale is common for military vehicles and aircraft alike, so the model keeps its size relationship with other vehicles of the same scale.
Finished models need only be kept free of dust with a soft brush, as the finish and the markings tolerate neither solvents nor rough wiping. The model is supplied on its own. The package holds no glue, paints or decals, and neither a display case nor a base is part of it, unless stated otherwise.
