A set of self-adhesive painting masks from Omask for the Eduard kits of the Czechoslovak Avia S-199 fighter and its two-seat trainer version, the CS-199, in 1:72 scale. The masks serve for a clean spray finish on the cockpit glazing and on any other areas that have to be set apart precisely during painting. Once sprayed, you get sharp edges without laborious brushwork. It is not a kit but an aid for painting.
The Avia S-199 was a postwar Czechoslovak fighter created by marrying the airframe of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 with the engine that was available, which earned it the nickname Mezek, the Czech word for mule. The aircraft made its name above all through its service in 1948. The two-seat CS-199 version served for training and had the lengthened glazing of a tandem cockpit.
Degrease the glazing and the areas to be masked and let them dry, then press the mask down at the edges so that paint cannot run under. Spray thinly, first in the interior color of the frames and then in the top shade. Peel the mask off while the paint is still fresh.
Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package. This is a painting aid for masking.
