An injection-molded plastic kit of the French fighter Bloch MB-155 in 1:72 scale. It is a short-run model with a rich choice of decals for several interesting markings. Short-run tooling has fine detail but heavier gate stubs and a less precise fit of the parts than mass-produced kits — the build therefore calls for a little experience and deliberate gluing.
The Bloch MB-155 was a French single-engine fighter, the final member of the Bloch MB-150 line developed just before the Second World War and at its beginning. Compared with its predecessors the MB-151 and MB-152 it brought further improvements in performance and range. The machines reached service only at the end of the Battle of France, and some of them then flew with the Vichy French Air Force; on the whole it was a less numerous but interesting type.
Because this is a short-run kit, reckon with deliberate gluing: dry-fit the parts first, clean up the gate stubs and adjust the fit slightly. Glue with a thin plastic cement and reinforce the larger joints if needed. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage and cover the glazing with a mask. French three-color camouflage comes out well after light highlighting of the panel lines; apply a gloss coat under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
