An injection-molded plastic model of the Soviet armored personnel carrier BTR-152K in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM. The K version differs from the older configurations in its enclosed armored hull with a roof that protected the dismounts from above. The box contains injection-molded plastic parts and a decal sheet.
The BTR-152 was the first series-produced Soviet wheeled armored personnel carrier (6x6), developed after the Second World War on a truck chassis. The older versions carried the infantry in an open hull, which exposed them to shell splinters and to the weather. The BTR-152K version from the end of the 1950s therefore received an enclosed armored roof with hatches, which improved the protection of the troops being carried.
Assemble and paint the chassis, the axles and the interior first, and only then close up the hull with its roof. Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic, fill the seams and sand them smooth. Apply primer and paint with an airbrush; bring the Soviet green to life by picking out the panels with a wash and with dust pigments on the chassis and the sides.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
