A finished collector model of the Israeli Centurion tank in the Shot configuration in 1:72 scale, with the markings of the 10th Armored Brigade and in the guise of a machine from the fighting in Samaria in 1967.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Centurion came about in Britain at the end of the Second World War and became one of the most successful tanks of the postwar era. It had strong frontal armor, suspension protected by side plates and a turret large enough to take successive rearmament with ever more powerful guns. Israel took Centurions into service at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s and ran them under a name of its own, Shot. The machines went through domestic modifications, chief among them rearmament with a 105 millimeter gun. It was in this form that the Israeli Centurions went into the fighting of 1967.
This is a finished model in 1:72 scale, assembled and painted at the factory. It carries the markings of the 10th Armored Brigade and the finish matches a machine that served in Samaria on the West Bank in 1967. The single-color desert finish and the unmistakable silhouette of the Centurion cannot be confused with anything else in a display case. Nothing is glued, sprayed or added; it is enough to unpack the model and stand it up.
For collectors of the equipment of Middle Eastern conflicts and for anyone who follows the fate of one type across armies. Next to a British Centurion of the 1950s, the Israeli Shot shows plainly how the original machine turned into a different weapon. The 1:72 scale is common for military vehicles and aircraft alike, so the model keeps its size relationship with other vehicles of the same scale.
A finished model is supplied. It is not a kit, so the package holds no glue, paints or decals, and neither a display case nor a base is part of it, unless stated otherwise.
