This is a resin detail set of replacement wheels in 1:72 scale from Reskit. It is not a helicopter kit but an accessory with which you replace the basic plastic wheels with more faithfully made parts with a crisper tread and fine hub detail.
The main landing gear wheels are among the most visible details on a machine standing on the ground. Resin castings have cleaner shapes than injection-molded plastic and are usually made with the load on the tire suggested (weighted), so the model looks as if it really stood on the apron. The set is intended for CH-53 models in the G, E and J variants and for the MH-53M.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut the casting gates off carefully and sand the surfaces (with respiratory protection). They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A primer is recommended before painting; spray the tires and the hubs separately for a clean transition between the colors.
The set contains only the resin wheel parts and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the helicopter model are not included in the package.
