1:72 Dassault Mirage F1CR French Air Force

The real subject

The Mirage F1 is a French jet combat aircraft from the production of the Dassault company, which is named in the aircraft's designation itself. It differs in layout from the older delta machines of the same brand: it has a swept wing set high on the fuselage and a conventional horizontal tail surface, thanks to which it can cope with shorter runways as well. The letters CR in the designation are carried by French Air Force machines equipped for reconnaissance.

What a collector model is

This is a collector model, that is, a piece bought not for building but for a display case. The version, the material and whether a base is included are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging; it is worth checking before ordering, because with collector lines this differs from piece to piece. Collector models tend to be supplied in a finished color scheme, but the scope of the package cannot be generalized.

How to handle the model

• hold the model by the fuselage, not by the tail surfaces and the landing gear
• use no solvents or alcohol-based cleaners on the painted surface
• remove dust with a soft brush, not with a dry cloth
• place the display case out of direct sunlight, or the colors will fade in time

Who it is for

The model suits the collector who is building a line of machines in 1:72 scale, and anyone who wants French equipment in a display case without building it. It is also a rewarding gift for someone who has a bond with the type but does not build models. The scope of the package and any accessories are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging, unless stated otherwise.
