An injection-molded plastic kit of the American F-22A Raptor fighter in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. The model has finely engraved panel lines, a well-worked cockpit and landing gear and clear parts for the cockpit canopy. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a classic plastic kit to be glued and sprayed.
The F-22A Raptor is an American twin-engine fifth-generation fighter developed for air superiority. It combines reduced radar signature technology (stealth), thrust vectoring for exceptional agility and the ability to fly supersonically without afterburner (supercruise). It carries its armament in internal weapon bays so that low observability is preserved. It ranks among the highest-performing fighters of its category and forms the top end of American tactical aviation.
On a modern fighter it pays to fill and sand the fuselage joints carefully, so that they do not disturb the smooth stealth surfaces. Spray the base over a primer; the characteristic two-tone gray camouflage comes out well with a slight difference of shade and restrained panel shading. Bring out the engraved lines with a thin panel wash that flows into the grooves by capillary action. A matte final clear coat will underline the low-reflection look of the real aircraft.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
