1:72 Flakpanzer 341 mit 2cm Flakvierling (Nuremberg 1945)

The real subject

Anti-aircraft tanks arose from the pressing need to protect armored columns against attack from the air. A conventional towed anti-aircraft gun had to be unlimbered and laid, which during a low-level air attack took far too long, and so the weapon moved onto a tracked chassis that traveled with the column and could open fire almost at once. The twenty-millimeter Flakvierling was among the most feared weapons of this kind: four barrels side by side threw up a dense wall of shells, and a low-flying aircraft did not pass through them without consequences. The Flakpanzer 341 belongs among the German designs of the late period of the war, when anti-aircraft armament was being sought for heavier chassis as well.

The model

This is a finished collector's model in 1:72 scale, not a kit. It comes assembled, painted and with its markings applied, so all you need do is take it out of the package and set it on a shelf. The details of the finish and the extent of the accessories supplied are given by the manufacturer.

Placement and care

Set the model on a level surface out of direct sun, because ultraviolet light changes the shade of the paints in time. Wipe the dust off with a soft, long-haired brush, not with a cloth, which could catch on the small parts and the barrels. Do not use chemical cleaning agents, as they could attack the finish and the printed markings. When carrying the model, take it by the hull, not by the barrels or the superstructure.

The package holds the finished model. A display case, a base and diorama accessories are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
