This injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Trumpeter in 1:72 scale represents the Sherman M4 tank in its French version. The model is supplied as an unassembled set of plastic parts with a decal sheet. For the exact numbers of parts and the markings offered, go by the contents of the package.
After the Second World War France operated Sherman tanks, and some of them went through an upgrade. The version designated the French M4 was based on the hull of the Sherman, into which a powerful French 105 mm gun armament related to the gun of the AMX-30 tank was installed, with the turret modified for the longer and more massive gun. These changes extended the fighting career of a proven chassis.
Finish and paint the running gear and the lower hull before you close the upper parts up. Use liquid cement for plastic and apply a primer before painting. Washes into the recesses and pigments for dust and mud effects on the running gear suit the weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
