Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German three-ton Kfz.305 ambulance in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker MAC Distribution. The real subject is an ambulance body on the chassis of the Opel Blitz truck. The model is supplied as a set of parts to be glued and painted, and it also holds a clear part for the glazing. It is a short-run kit with fine detail.
The Opel Blitz was the standard German three-ton truck of the Second World War, built in many configurations, from flatbeds through radio vehicles to ambulances. The ambulance configuration with an enclosed box body received the service designation Kfz.305 and served to move the wounded from near the front to rear-area facilities. The enclosed body protected the wounded from the weather and allowed stretchers to be stowed at several levels.
Assemble the chassis, the axles and the frame first; finish and paint the cab and the interior of the body before you close the bodywork up, as part of the interior will be visible through the glazing. Paint over a primer in German dark yellow (Dunkelgelb) or gray, according to the period. Draw out the panel lines with a dark wash and weather the wheels and the underside with pigments (mud, dust). Apply the Red Cross markings as decals only onto the finished paint.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
