An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern German main battle tank Leopard 2A7 in the small 1:72 scale from the maker Meng. Although it is a model that fits in the palm of your hand, it offers a modular construction with a quick and easy build, add-on armor for the hull and the turret, and tracks handled as a combination of lengths and individual links. The surface detail, the grilles of the engine compartment and the external equipment come close to the level we are used to in larger scales. The Leopard 2A7 is one of the most modern versions of the proven Leopard 2 tank. It comes out of an upgrade program that adapted the machine to present-day conflicts — from a classic clash of armored units to use in built-up areas. The tank is armed with a 120 mm smoothbore gun, has a modern fire control system and strengthened modular armor for better crew protection. It is used by the German army and by a number of other users.
In a small scale, take care to clean up the tiny parts properly. Paint and pick out the running gear and the underside of the hull before the assembly is finished. Put the link-and-length tracks together according to the instructions and let them dry thoroughly. Apply primer and paints with an airbrush, bring out the panel lines and the details with a fine wash and fine-tune the final weathering with pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
