A resin set of landing gear wheels for the American Grumman TBM-3 Avenger carrier-based torpedo bomber in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer ResKit. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory replacing the plastic wheels from the box with more faithful resin parts. The execution matches the machines operated from aircraft carriers.
Resin wheels have finer detail on the hubs, the valves and the tire tread than injection-molded parts and tend to be cast with a hint of flattening under the weight of the aircraft, so that the model settles naturally onto its base.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, cut them off the casting blocks and clean them up with respiratory protection. Bond with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tires and the hubs separately before joining them.
This is a detail accessory for experienced modelers, not a standalone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
