Responsibility details are not available.
A complete battle set, Hartenstein Hotel 1944, in 1:72 scale from Italeri, set during Operation Market Garden at Arnhem in the Netherlands. It is not the building on its own but a complete diorama set. It contains the hotel building, a large quantity of paratrooper and infantry figures and two quick-build vehicles, so you have the basis of a whole scene in one box.
In September 1944 the Hartenstein Hotel served as the headquarters of the British 1st Airborne Division during the Battle of Arnhem. Operation Market Garden was meant to seize key bridges in the Netherlands by airborne assault and open the road into Germany for the Allies. The fighting at Arnhem became one of the most dramatic and hardest engagements of Allied paratroopers on the Western Front.
First assemble and paint the building and the vehicles, and only then place the figures. The quick-build vehicle models speed up preparing the scene. Dry highlighting of the edges and washes into the joints suit the masonry of the hotel, and clear color separation of the equipment suits the figures. Dust, rubble and traces of fighting will give the scene the period atmosphere of a ruined town.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
