Responsibility details are not available.
A short-run injection-molded plastic kit from Sword in 1:72 scale. The box combines injection-molded plastic with resin parts and a vacuum-formed clear canopy, plus a decal sheet. It is a model intended rather for more experienced modelers who can cope with the character of short-run tooling.
The Grumman G-21 Goose was a twin-engine high-wing amphibious flying boat. It was originally created as an eight-seat transport aircraft for civil customers, but it quickly found a place in military service too. Under the JRF designation it served with the US Navy and coast guard on liaison, patrol, training and rescue duties. It was powered by a pair of radial engines and, thanks to its boat-shaped hull and retractable landing gear, it could operate from water and from land alike.
With short-run kits, expect to clean up the molding edges and to dry-fit the parts before gluing. Use a thinner modeling cement on the plastic, and first wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Cut the vacuum-formed clear canopy out carefully with a small margin and sand it to fit. Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush and then a light accentuation of the panel lines are ideal.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
