A set of pre-cut masking films for the M6A1 Seiran kit from Tamiya in 1:72 scale (catalog number 60737). It saves hours of cutting tape for the broken-up canopy.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Aichi M6A1 Seiran is a Japanese floatplane from the end of the Second World War, powered by the Atsuta twelve-cylinder V engine. It carries a long, densely broken-up canopy over the cabin, which on a model represents one of the most laborious masking tasks of all, and with it two supporting floats.
The set brings pre-cut self-adhesive masking films for the Seiran kit in 1:72 scale from Tamiya, listed under catalog number 60737. Which parts the masks cover is given in the enclosed manufacturer's instructions. The shapes are cut out beforehand, so on the small frames you do not have to aim with a blade and risk a scratch in the transparent part.
Wash the glazing, degrease it and let it dry perfectly. Lift the individual masks out with the tip of a sharp knife, carry them over with tweezers and press them down with a wooden toothpick, so that the edges do not stand up anywhere. Spray in several thin coats; one thick coat easily creeps under the edge of a mask.
The set is intended for modelers who want a clean cabin and sharp frames on this type without spending an evening trimming tape under a magnifier. The kit and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
