A set of color 3D elements for the interior of the MiG-17 fighter in 1:72 scale, prepared for the kit from Airfix.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-17 was a Soviet single-seat fighter with a swept wing and one jet engine, one of the most widespread machines of the 1950s and 1960s. In the NATO reporting system it carried the name Fresco, and in China it was built under license as the Shenyang J-5. The cockpit is cramped and the instrument panel takes up a prominent place in it. Machines of this type flew in the colors of dozens of countries, so a model can be approached in many ways.
Color 3D interior elements in 1:72 scale for the MiG-17 kit from Airfix. They add printed color with a raised relief to the instrument panel, the side panels and the seat with its belts, so coloring tiny instruments with a brush falls away. The placement of the elements and the order in which they are applied is shown in the manufacturer's instructions.
Wash, degrease and dry the plastic under the elements. If the instructions recommend sanding away the engraved detail where an element will go, sand it smooth and the element will seat without ripples. Lift them with smooth-jawed tweezers and lay them exactly first time. Before applying them, check in the instructions how the elements are attached to the parts; the method of application differs between individual Kelik ranges and the instructions enclosed with the set decide. At the end a light matting is enough, as a heavy coat of varnish would fill the raised relief.
The package contains interior elements only. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
