The MiG-19 was a Soviet supersonic fighter with a pair of engines and a swept wing. The P and PM versions were among the interceptor forms, which carried a radar and were intended for action against targets at greater altitude and in poor visibility. On these the cockpit differed from the day fighter precisely in the equipment connected with operating the radar.
The set brings colored interior elements with a three-dimensional relief in 1:72 scale. In shape they match the parts of the kit from ClearProp and are aimed at the instrument panel, the side panels and other surfaces of the pilot's compartment. The coloring is already done, so painting the individual dials and instrument plates is not needed. The elements are laid directly onto the parts from the box, so the building sequence in the instructions stays the same.
Before applying them, check in the instructions whether the elements are self-adhesive. The application procedure differs between the individual lines and is given in the instructions supplied with the set. Prepare the cockpit in advance: spray it with a base color in the interior shade and let it dry through thoroughly. Then take the elements with tweezers one at a time and fine-tune the pressure with a cotton bud, so that they seat even on the edges of the panels.
It will be appreciated by modelers who want to build with the canopy slid open while avoiding the laborious painting of tiny instruments in a small scale. The package contains the interior elements only. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
